In this episode, Vida invites back their in-house Astrologer, Kristina Gonzalez to chat about the buzz phrase known as "Saturn Return". Are you in your late twenties, getting ready to strut into your thirties? This episode is for you. Saturn Return feels like your life is falling apart - in some ways, it is (we like to be honest here), but it doesn't have to be doom and gloom. Kristina shares tangible wisdom and guidance on how to navigate this unavoidable season of your life. Rebecca and Kristina discuss the emotional and practical implications of this period, including feelings of loneliness, grief, and the importance of community support. The conversation highlights how Saturn Return serves as a time for self-discovery, reevaluation of beliefs, and personal growth - the sacred initiation into adulthood. Want to know the secret to Saturn Return? Surrender baby. But how can you do that? It starts with TRUST. Kristina provides a real-life example on how you can start trusting yourself and the unseen during this "my life is over" moment. Both Kristina and Rebecca share their personal journeys with Saturn Return(Rebecca is currently in hers - Saturn in Pisces) and how their lives have been completely turned upside down and then right-side up again. Rebecca Espinoza (00:00.775)
Hi, welcome back to another episode of Vida. Kristina, to you, welcome back.

Kristina (00:08.362)
Hi, I'm so excited.

Rebecca Espinoza (00:10.574)
We have Kristina here. She is, guess, I mean, I guess you become like our in-house astrologer, which I love. Yeah, we had you on last season, just talk, or not last season, maybe like two seasons ago, talking, I think it was season two, yeah, talking about just the basics of astrology and the tangible applications of astrology and.

Kristina (00:18.708)
Honored.

Kristina (00:27.606)
two seasons ago,

Rebecca Espinoza (00:37.454)
we touched on the topics of relationships in astrology. I think that was a big conversation that we wove into that episode because I think in truth, people are always like going to astrology when it comes to relationships, like who's compatible with who because of your sign and all these things. And you definitely gave us some really great information and some wisdom drops. we, okay, also, no, I'm just gonna pause. It might seem slow.

Kristina (00:42.198)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:04.372)
Okay. Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:04.746)
like the video, but just keep going and talking because it'll come out good once on the editing platform. But just so you know, like that happens sometimes in this platform. But just keep going with it. OK. Yeah. So now we have you back to talk a little bit about a topic that I think is definitely a buzz phrase, and it's very well known and I'm in it right now. You you just got out of it, but it's.

Kristina (01:09.503)
Okay.

Kristina (01:14.538)
Okay, cool.

Kristina (01:30.214)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:33.934)
The good old Saturn return. And we're definitely gonna get into that and just all of the juicy details that you wanna share and all the information and just really tangible, I think, information that you give that is gonna be real applicable to real life that people can understand like what it means to go through your Saturn return. So I'm excited. But before we do get into that, we always love to ask here, como esta tu corazon? How's your heart today?

Kristina (01:35.978)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:53.322)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:59.478)
thank you for asking. My heart is conflicted, actually. There's been a lot of, you know, just kind of the state of the world is.

Rebecca Espinoza (02:07.726)
Mmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (02:12.578)
Yeah. yeah. We're recording this February 8th. So we just experienced the inauguration in America and yeah.

Kristina (02:17.494)
Yeah. The state of our country. Yeah, I think being in LA, I work downtown. So a lot of protests are happening downtown, you know, for immigration rights and yeah, a lot of heaviness. And then I guess the conflicting part is also like my personal life. Things have actually been going in a

Rebecca Espinoza (02:29.421)
Right.

Rebecca Espinoza (02:36.078)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (02:47.882)
Good direction. And we'll talk a little bit more about the integration phase that happens after your Saturn return. And I am closing that out as I turn 33 in April. And so, yeah, it's a mixed bag, but.

I'm really excited to get into this conversation because it's definitely one of my, if not my favorite topic in astrology. And actually I have two group programs that was catered just to this topic. yeah, and just living the experience of it. There's a lot there.

Rebecca Espinoza (03:18.946)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (03:33.446)
Yeah, yeah. Thank you for sharing where you're at. And yeah, I think I think it's normal to be in a conflicted state with, you know, there's always that like semi guilt. Maybe sometimes you feel when like life is going so well, but other things around you, you witness you're like, damn, should I feel so good right now about my life? But it is good to be in that state because then from that place we can serve, we can live in that place, create from that place. And that is

Kristina (03:55.762)
Yes, 100%.

Rebecca Espinoza (04:01.998)
That's where we wanna create from, you know? So yeah, I'm seeing you in that. And yeah, that good old Saturn return. Let's get into this really thick topic. I mean, just for foundations, I guess, how would you describe a Saturn return? I think both from like an astrology perspective, but also just like a real life tangible perspective.

Kristina (04:03.282)
Mm-hmm, definitely.

Kristina (04:12.478)
Let's get into it. Yeah. Yes.

Kristina (04:28.672)
Totally, yes. Yeah, both of those go so hand in hand, whether you believe in astrology or not. I think that time in your life, closing out your 20s and entering your 30s is so pivotal for everyone. I don't think I've heard from that one person that has experienced that timeframe that was like, yeah, that was nothing. That was just like a walk in the park. Right.

Rebecca Espinoza (04:36.078)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (04:55.495)
yeah, my life didn't fall apart during that time.

Kristina (04:59.21)
Bye Shay.

Shay Frago (05:00.846)
my god, that took way longer than I don't know what happened. Continue.

Kristina (05:03.542)
Yeah, that's great. We're just starting to talk about a set of return. And so a lot of life changes happen during that timeframe. think whether you want to go the traditional societal route of getting engaged, getting married, starting to have kids, it could also just be

Rebecca Espinoza (05:25.676)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (05:32.65)
wanting to get promoted in your job or making a big career change, all of these things, just big life moments that happen. And it's also a time when it is meant for you to reevaluate what your beliefs are about yourself, about the world, about everything happening around you.

but solely really like your belief system. And Saturn is a slower moving planet than when we talk about maybe Mercury or Venus. We start to get a taste of what our Saturn story is as early as the age of seven. And then, so, and when we think about it at that time in our lives, that's when we are starting to...

Rebecca Espinoza (06:15.534)
okay.

Kristina (06:26.614)
figure out, who are my authority figures, whether it be our parents or our caregivers, our teachers, our coaches, for like in sports or things of that sort. But these are essentially authority figures that are supposed to be teaching us from right and wrong. And then we get to this another point around the age of 14.

and a lot of us are maybe entering high school, right? We're starting to form really our own opinions on things. Some of us may be a little bit more rebellious. Some of us may be a little bit more obedient. And then we get to another point around the age of 21, 22. If we decided to go down the college route, we're graduating, we're entering the workforce, or maybe we are already there.

Rebecca Espinoza (07:11.756)
Hmm.

Kristina (07:15.09)
or I know a lot of people decide to maybe travel and kind of just have that self-discovery moment. And I would say even more so challenge authority. that essence of authority is really big when it comes to Saturn.

Rebecca Espinoza (07:25.367)
Hmm.

Kristina (07:32.386)
And then when we get to that period of 27, 28, and know, kind of closing out our 30s is when we go through our first Saturn return. And so that essentially means in astrology terms, Saturn is now going back to the same sign and to the same degree of what it was when you were born. And this is that moment when we are here to take stock of our lives. Really, okay, am I really on the path that I want to be on?

Rebecca Espinoza (07:53.016)
Got it.

Kristina (08:02.218)
you know, are the beliefs that I've been holding onto and making decisions from actually mine, or were these the beliefs from the people who taught me these things back when I was seven years old? So what is it that I actually wanna hold onto and what is it that I actually wanna unlearn? And that's really what the Saturn Return is all about. And I told people in my group program,

Rebecca Espinoza (08:11.0)
Wow.

Kristina (08:28.534)
back in, I think I did it twice around 2022, 2023. And I was going through mine at that time. And these are for the most part folks that were about to go through theirs, which is what we're currently in Saturn and Pisces. I have my Saturn in Aquarius. And I'm like, how I'm experiencing Saturn is...

The lesson doesn't have to be as hard as long as you are willing to kind of surrender to the things that are happening. There were definitely elements of my life that I was holding onto for dear life because I was so afraid of change and the uncertainty of things and also having to face, well, I believed in this.

thing this person or whatever it may be for so long like I don't know what it means to not believe in that anymore and the lesson was rough like it really my whole life turned upside down but ultimately it led to some of the most beautiful moments of my life that I've had since then and also it's really showed me who I am

and what I'm capable of and that I'm also the authority of my own life. And that's why I'm so excited to talk about it with you specifically, Rebecca, because I know you are in it. And just to kind of take stock of how it's been so far and also very excited to give some insight on what that integration phase.

Rebecca Espinoza (09:43.875)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (09:53.645)
Yep.

Kristina (10:03.182)
is and what that looks like. And that was taught to me and I had had a guest in my group program and one of them is my dear friend Colin Bedell who is a renowned astrologer and he was the one who spoke about the integration base because I didn't even know about that beforehand so I learned this from him. So yeah I'm very excited to to talk about that as well.

Rebecca Espinoza (10:20.278)
Hmm, okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (10:28.11)
I'm excited for you to share some insight on it because I mean, I've definitely been experiencing a fucking whirlwind and know, Shay is out of her sand return mostly too, I believe. So I think it's cool to have, you know, mixed, I guess, experiences here and you know, so you mentioned the 20, like 27, 28.

Kristina (10:31.068)
Yay!

Kristina (10:35.766)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Kristina (10:48.125)
Yeah.

Kristina (10:53.129)
you

Rebecca Espinoza (10:54.338)
When does, how long does Saturn return usually last? And I know it's different based on everyone's chart. And, but if you can bring some clarity so people are like, am I feeling this way? Like, yeah, how long does it usually last?

Kristina (10:59.862)
Totally.

Mm-hmm.

Kristina (11:07.092)
Yeah, so Saturn stays in a sign for about two and a half to three years. Yeah, and so we experienced Saturn moving into Pisces March of 2023. So it has been there for this long. This year is really special because we, because of...

Rebecca Espinoza (11:12.536)
Okay. Okay.

Kristina (11:31.158)
Saturday retrograde that's happening this year it will Actually, it's moving into Aries for some months, but then it's moving back into Pisces. So there will be this

Rebecca Espinoza (11:35.595)
It leaves it for a bit.

Rebecca Espinoza (11:42.286)
So we're gonna, we'll get a little breathing room, but.

Kristina (11:45.638)
little breathing room and a little bit of like, okay, so this is what happened. And then when we kind of step back into it, it's like, okay, well now, what did I learn? You know, what changes am I ready to make? You know, what areas of my life am I ready to be a little bit more disciplined and a little bit more responsible? Because that's those are Saturn keywords.

Rebecca Espinoza (12:06.094)
Discipline and responsibility. And you made a really good point about, it's like, even if you are not into astrology, the 27, 28 year marker, collectively, I think everyone can agree that you start feeling some sort of pressure because that's the age that you're just like, okay, I've been in the work field for the workforce for.

Kristina (12:27.924)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (12:34.762)
significant amount of time now, I should be making a significant amount of money based on society's expectations. Okay, is it time for me to buy a house? Is it time for me to have a family? my god, do I even want those things? And those big questions start to arise or just like, maybe I want to go against the traditional norms and drop everything and move to another country instead and build my life there instead. And like, all of these big life questions of like, who am I? And who do I want to be? Really come into the forefront of your mind and

It's just the 20s are your time to really figure it out. In some ways, like you're exploring, your 20s are your time to explore. But once you're getting close to your 30s, it feels like this like clock where you're just like, do you know? Do you know?

Kristina (13:11.51)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (13:17.43)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally. 100%. And yeah, in beginning of my, beginning into the middle of my sudden return, I moved out of the only home that I've ever known. I left New York, I moved to LA, I quit my job that I had throughout my 20s. I started my business being an astrologer. I moved in with boyfriends. It was all these changes that happened all at once. And I think,

Rebecca Espinoza (13:21.464)
So yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (13:42.604)
Yeah.

Kristina (13:47.574)
the part that I didn't anticipate was how lonely all of that was gonna feel and the grief that I was in experience with all of that change because you have these dreams and you have these goals that you wanna hit and you think like, when I get all of those things, it's gonna feel amazing. It's gonna feel like everything I've ever wanted. And essentially all those things happened and I was like, whoa, I don't even know.

Rebecca Espinoza (13:53.858)
Okay.

Kristina (14:17.748)
I don't even have proper ground to stand on right now. So much has shifted in my life and I'm also changing and my perspective is changing on things. And so a friend of mine who's a life coach had offered me that just kind of.

Rebecca Espinoza (14:25.996)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (14:37.258)
change in perspective of like, you you're experiencing a lot of grief right now. Like everything you've ever known has changed. You know, allow yourself to grieve that change. Like, yes, it could have been positive and things that you wanted and maybe some things that you didn't anticipate happening at the same time. And I really like held onto that because, and then the loneliest I ever felt at that time actually happened to be around my peak of my Saturn return.

Rebecca Espinoza (15:04.43)
Okay, let's share about that. Let's talk about peaks. What is, yeah, what does that mean?

Kristina (15:04.702)
And so we all have these peak moments. Mine was in February. Peaks. astrologers feel differently about when you actually experience your Saturn return. are, so there are astrologers that feel like you only experience your Saturn return when you have your peak moment. And this is when Saturn goes the exact degree of what it was in your birth chart when you're born.

Rebecca Espinoza (15:16.12)
I've heard some nuances about this. I'm curious to hear your perspective.

Rebecca Espinoza (15:26.039)
Okay.

Kristina (15:32.576)
There are other astrologers which I more so lean a little bit more towards this way is that you start to feel the effects of your Saturn return as soon as it moves into that sign of what it was when you were born and what's in your natal chart. But along with that, I also do believe that when that peak moment happens, yes, it is like the most pivotal moment.

And I experienced it as such. It was definitely the loneliest I ever felt. And I always prided myself on like knowing how to be alone, especially growing up in New York, like, I know how to be alone. Like I know how to fend for myself. I'm independent on this. I'm that. But being alone and being lonely are very two different things. And I was surrounded by all these new people and all these new friends where like in hindsight, I wasn't really ever alone.

Rebecca Espinoza (16:01.869)
Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (16:07.0)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (16:11.854)
Hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (16:17.326)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (16:29.254)
But internally, I felt so lonely because I just didn't even know what direction I was going into. And then again, kind of what I was talking about earlier, there were things that I was holding onto that I know my sound in return really wanted me to face and surrender to and know that actually this is not for you, that it was causing more harm to me at the time. And then,

We also, as we go through a sudden return, planets and everything else are also doing their own thing. So there are other factors that are coming into place as well, I do want to kind of tap into the North and South node, the eclipses that we go through, because those are our abrupt endings. Like those are our new beginnings that last long-term. So that was also happening.

Rebecca Espinoza (17:07.202)
Yes. Mm-hmm. Yes.

Rebecca Espinoza (17:20.942)
Okay.

Kristina (17:22.802)
simultaneously with my Saturn return. And at the time, the nodes were in Taurus and Scorpio, which is in my Sun sign and also my money houses. So I was experiencing incredible debt and also trying to figure out how to balance like, okay, well, I've started this business and I really want to do this.

Rebecca Espinoza (17:31.605)
Yes

Rebecca Espinoza (17:36.428)
Wow, okay.

Kristina (17:46.772)
but then also I don't have any money and I'm trying to support my relationship and all of that. So all of it came crumbling down. But essentially it allowed me to just also stop holding on to the things that weren't for me anymore. And unfortunately it had to be very hard lesson.

Rebecca Espinoza (17:54.254)
Hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (18:12.845)
Yeah.

Kristina (18:13.482)
but I'm so grateful for it and it did take the next few years to get myself back on my feet again. But now I can honestly say I walk through life with so much confidence that I know that I can trust myself that I'm gonna be okay because I've now created the foundation, I've created the structure and like whenever something that seems familiar,

Rebecca Espinoza (18:20.696)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (18:36.195)
Yeah.

Kristina (18:41.288)
enters my life, I'm like, no, I've seen this before. know how to move through this now. And what do I make it mean about myself if something does fail again or whatever and all that. And I think that belief system and what I realized, one of the biggest beliefs that I had that actually stemmed from childhood was the inability to ask for help and feeling like I was a bother to people.

Rebecca Espinoza (18:46.624)
Exactly. Exactly.

Mm-hmm.

Kristina (19:10.524)
And I was struggling through that during my Saturn return to then notice that like, my gosh, like that's a belief that I had from when I was like in elementary school. Like I hated asking for help. I hated feeling like I was a bother because this one friend that I had at the time or this teacher or whoever it was like made me feel like I was bothering them. And that was something that I really had to kind of work through.

Rebecca Espinoza (19:18.88)
Wow.

Kristina (19:37.226)
through my Saturn return. And now it's something that I'm conscious of whenever I am feeling insecure, if I'm just feeling unsure of like how to move through something. I'm like, okay, well, is this, is this this belief that's being triggered right now? Like, let me nurture that. And yeah, so that's, there's so many different like layers to it, but yeah, that's why I'm so excited to look into yours.

Rebecca Espinoza (20:05.656)
feel like there's just so much there because, you know, what I loved you brought up. I just really, I really want, I really want people to understand like, I'm just like, when all these things are happening in your life, like you said, everything just starts falling apart, right? It feels like a tower moment. Maybe your relationship ends, a big career ending. It's just like these like drastic endings or like you lost your place to live. There's like a health, something, money, like all of these things are happening, right?

It's the physical world, basically, right? Responding to something more subtle that is like unseen. And at the end of the day, it's like what you were saying, the beliefs, it's those beliefs that are being challenged that need to come apart, right? It's the beliefs and the identities. Would you say that's kind of where Saturn Return is? Like you're being challenged to question these beliefs and like part of your identity?

Kristina (20:53.002)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (21:00.138)
Yeah.

Absolutely, absolutely. think the biggest thing that happened during mine was obviously the money issues and all that, but my relationship was ending. I didn't have financial stability to stay in LA. So I think the biggest thing at that time was there was two options that I had, either.

Rebecca Espinoza (21:20.876)
Mmm, okay.

Kristina (21:29.462)
The option always was going to be I have to, I'm going to go back home. But I could have decided the belief was, wow, I failed. This was, you know, there's, it was just never was for me. And I'm just going to go back home and I'm going to stay in New York because maybe that's what I meant to do. Right. Or, and this is what I chose was I'm going to go back to New York.

Rebecca Espinoza (21:39.907)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (21:49.344)
easier and it's like yeah.

Kristina (21:57.928)
I'm going to rebuild. I'm going to get everything in line, get everything together. And I'm going to come back and I'm going to come back on my own terms.

Rebecca Espinoza (22:05.365)
Yeah...

Kristina (22:07.446)
And that was all during 2023. And that was really the beginning of my integration phase. This is when Saturn then moved into Pisces. And as soon as that happened, a month later, I came here to visit. I spoke to a couple of friends and they're like, Christina, you want to be here? Just be here. And then I came back officially July of that year. And the biggest thing out of all of this, and I really want to stress

Rebecca Espinoza (22:14.222)
Okay. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (22:30.776)
Hmm?

Kristina (22:37.652)
that loneliness feeling that happens during the Saturn return because the one thing that got me out of that was community. And it is so vital when you are going through this period of your life. You need your people, whether it's your family, your friends, coworkers, your network of people.

Rebecca Espinoza (22:56.419)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (23:06.534)
I could not get through any of that without the community I had around me. Just because it is, yeah, it's a shock to your nervous system. It makes you question everything. I was also a client to a coach at the time too. I'm very grateful that I had that as well.

Rebecca Espinoza (23:27.18)
Hmm.

Kristina (23:30.974)
You need people to also remind you and that love you and that know you who you are. You also kind of need that reminder from them of like, this is who you are. Like you got this, along with you going through these ups and downs, because it is so easy to choose that other path of defeat. And that's the one thing that I have stressed to everybody who's currently going through it. Like lean on your people.

Rebecca Espinoza (23:46.53)
Definitely.

Kristina (23:57.492)
because especially if it is, if you do have friends that are also going through the same transit, this is where we get to actually be together and be like, my gosh, okay, we're all going through this. Let's lean on each other. How can we be supportive? Because in the ways that you may be experiencing loss may be different than someone else. And I think that's the beauty of also looking at.

Our charts is because our Saturn story falls in a different area of our life doesn't mean you can't experience loss and hardship in other areas, but there is a very like very specific kind of point of contact here that can then influence all those other areas that may also kind of be going through this this change.

Rebecca Espinoza (24:47.682)
Yeah, I think because point blank during your Saturn return, your life feels like it's falling apart. And it's every time I think about my Saturn Saturn return, I think about the tower tower tarot card. It's just that tower fucking falling apart. So and yeah, you get you get to rebuild from that from the rubble, right from the ashes and the rubbles. You get to rebuild from that fallen tower. But you can't do it alone.

Kristina (24:56.245)
Yeah.

Kristina (25:03.274)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah.

Kristina (25:10.568)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (25:16.598)
Rebuilding that all that by yourself is gonna feel defeating and yeah when your life is falling apart Why should you be alone like more than ever for me? I mean as you know, like I went through really difficult time last year with my father getting sick and passing away and I had it felt like mountains of support

Kristina (25:24.233)
Yeah.

Kristina (25:29.45)
Yeah. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (25:41.71)
all around me, behind me, in all directions, from my community, my family, my friends. The overwhelm of support that I received, I would cry in tears of just love and gratitude. And my father, when he was sick, same thing. The level of support we received from our individual communities and our collective communities was like, my dad, we both would cry just from feeling so overwhelmed with love and gratitude for our people.

Kristina (26:05.225)
Mmm.

you

Rebecca Espinoza (26:11.79)
It's just, yeah, when your life is falling apart, you can't do these things alone. It's impossible. You could make it out the other side, but I think it'll be a harder fight for sure. Yeah, and something else I wanna tap into, just like something else that you said is like, you felt more confident.

Kristina (26:17.022)
You can't.

Kristina (26:24.509)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (26:28.384)
Definitely, definitely.

Rebecca Espinoza (26:40.446)
after your Saturn return because you went through all these things and life was being life with you and you know what it sounds like a lot of the time and Saturn return is like a big initiation, huge initiation because and you know an initiation is like when you think about ceremony and ritual it's like it's very sacred initiations right like I was in a sorority so we have like our quote unquote initiation nights right and like

Kristina (26:46.634)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (27:07.68)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (27:08.31)
It's not like whatever, it's not these like insane things that you're made to do, but there's like this level of like, one, it's done in community, the initiations, it's a sorority. And even like, there's this like level of sacredness, it's like, you know, you're about to pass a threshold because once you're in this sorority, you are now expected to uphold certain values and beliefs and to represent the whole sorority and what kind of, it's literally like,

Kristina (27:16.106)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (27:37.826)
This is like, kind of adult are you gonna be? How are you gonna represent yourself as a woman, as like a mature woman in college? And for our chapter, like these are our values and beliefs and like you are being initiated to now be responsible to how you live, how you speak to uphold all of this. And yeah, you just like, Saturn Return feels like the biggest, one of the biggest initiations for the school of life.

Kristina (27:40.182)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (27:56.757)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (28:07.432)
Yeah? Totally.

Rebecca Espinoza (28:07.502)
Like, because how are you like you said, after you went through your sign-in return, now you've you face similar problems. You're like, I know how to handle this. I'm my toolkit is equipped now because I even if you didn't like willingly say yes in the beginning, you're just like, I went through this initiation. I walked on the through the fire and made it out the other side to like be here now to confidently be able to navigate these other pieces of life.

Kristina (28:17.844)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (28:27.861)
Yeah.

Kristina (28:35.798)
Totally.

Rebecca Espinoza (28:38.05)
Yeah, and before we dive deeper into like some other pieces, I wanna ask you about, because we were, you were an Aquarius, that was your Saturn return, right? And just so people know.

Kristina (28:48.458)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (28:52.514)
there is a generation or like a collective of people going through the same Saturn return, right, in the house. And then, so my group of people are in Pisces right now and yours was in Aquarius and Shay, I believe, was in Aquarius. Most of my friends were actually in Aquarius. So was really frustrating for me because I'm one of the younger ones and I'm the youngest one in my friend group. Everyone's like, I just felt like this like weight lifted off my shoulder like after like crossing that thresholds.

Kristina (28:59.335)
Yes.

Kristina (29:04.79)
Yes.

Kristina (29:09.834)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (29:15.253)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (29:23.168)
I'm like deep in it. But you know what? It's also really beautiful because I get to be like, wow, I actually saw you all go through these fucking initiations where I wasn't going through them yet. And I was like, damn, looks rough. And they were like in it. But now I can see how much they're thriving. And it's so beautiful. Like I'm in my friend, one of my best friends houses right now. I'm seeing her in her apartment, Aaron, you know, Aaron.

Kristina (29:24.916)
Yeah.

Kristina (29:29.919)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (29:34.664)
Yeah.

Kristina (29:47.861)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (29:49.114)
She we were just talking about her Saturn return and I there are many times when I I like, well, like just be like, Aaron, I'm really proud of you. Like you she fucking went through a rough one for her Saturn return. And I was witnessing her going through a lot of that where life was really testing her to some really like grave points. And now I see her like in her own apartment, like she lives by herself and she's just like

Kristina (30:01.993)
Yeah.

Kristina (30:10.358)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (30:19.374)
knows her purpose and is just making so many strides and like is comfortable and confident with who she is and yeah, it's just there is is a phrase that I used for her last night when we were catching up. I was like, you're single and satiated like that is like it's just like her shift in her life within the last few years that I've known her and I've seen her. I was like, wow, I'm

Kristina (30:34.584)
Yes, I love that.

Rebecca Espinoza (30:45.846)
I saw that metamorphosis happen throughout that Saturn return. So I know there's hope and I hold hope for myself. But just so people know, can you explain like, I guess the difference, yeah, like you're not going just through like, you're going through like a collective Saturn return and then based on your house, of course. And then can you explain if you felt like there was a difference? Because you were in it in Aquarius and then you're witnessing people in your life go through in Pisces.

Kristina (30:49.118)
Mm-hmm.

Yes.

Kristina (31:10.09)
Yes.

Rebecca Espinoza (31:12.374)
Is there like a collective like energy maybe that you're noticing like a difference between the two?

Kristina (31:15.488)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, so actually for Saturn and Aquarius folks, a lot of our kind of collective Saturn return story was about belonging. we all, yeah, we all kind of had this experience throughout life of not feeling like we belong and may have had issues. I'm just naming different examples for everyone. could be different.

could be that sense of belonging in your family. Like maybe you were the black sheep. Maybe you're just the one that went against the grain and maybe someone that was a little bit more rebellious. Because also Aquarius is not afraid to challenge authority. So that's a big thing too. And...

Rebecca Espinoza (31:49.366)
Mmm.

Kristina (32:10.582)
could be within your friend group. I can say for myself, out of all my friends back home in New York, I'm the only one that's into astrology and the occult or mysticism and metaphysical things and the witchiness of it all and spirituality. And I kind of kept that for myself.

And then I also had learned during my Saturn return that like, people are actually really just because they're not in it doesn't mean that they're not interested and they're not supportive, you know, of me having my own journey with this. And if I just allow them in, then I could actually share this part of my life with them. Um, and so yeah, that sense of belonging was a lot of what our story was. And then of course we all have, um, our Saturn placement in a different part.

Rebecca Espinoza (32:42.136)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (33:02.062)
Right.

Kristina (33:02.718)
of our chart, mine happened to be in the fifth house of joy and play and creativity.

and self-expression. So there's always kind of been this serious underlying tone when it comes to me experiencing joy specifically or even romance and dating and I've kind of been a little bit more of a late bloomer in those areas of my life or sometimes I find it hard to really just like allow myself to not worry and have fun and that's something that I also kind of you know

Rebecca Espinoza (33:10.638)
Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (33:23.575)
Okay.

Kristina (33:33.29)
Part of my sound and return story too is just letting loose. Life was hard already. I don't have to make everything else hard. Just allowing myself to play and to just be and just to love and experience and not worry about what the repercussions are gonna be. Just allowing myself to kind of express that freedom in that area. And again, could look different for everyone else depending where they have it in their chart.

Rebecca Espinoza (33:36.312)
More play, yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (33:41.922)
Yeah.

Kristina (34:02.006)
For Saturn Pisces folks, and I remember talking to this friend of mine, one of my best friends here, he talked on the phone the whole time I was in New York and he just wanted to know everything about my Saturn return. Because he's also Saturn Pisces like, dude, I just need to know what to expect. And he was also a witness to a lot of what I experienced in mine. He was one of my first friends that I made here.

you know, being able to kind of tell my story back to him and now that he's going through his and he's like, I remember when you said this thing and like, I see it now, you know, he's like, I'm experiencing it. And the one thing I remember telling him was like, because yours is in Pisces, we always have to look to the opposite sign as well. So, you know, for, for

Rebecca Espinoza (34:46.616)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (34:53.556)
myself and other folks that have Saturn in Aquarius, the opposite sign, the sister sign of Aquarius is Leo. So really also says like that sense of belonging was our story, but also like standing out, you know, and being seen, that's probably something that we also had a lot of trouble with. And so when it comes to everyone that's experiencing the Saturn in,

Rebecca Espinoza (35:02.06)
Mmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (35:09.848)
Okay.

Kristina (35:16.982)
Pisces we also have to look to Virgo in this case and so I Told him I'm like look at it as like kind of this the spectrum of control and escapism So very very Virgo very very Pisces and what areas of your life are you maybe very overt like controlling because you're afraid of uncertainty or you need things to be a certain way to feel safe or

Rebecca Espinoza (35:38.51)
Okay.

Kristina (35:47.038)
in what areas of your life are you always trying to escape reality because life gets too hard and it's just easier to do that. So as I've spoken to different people who are having their nasal, center, and pisces, maybe some of them have issues with addiction or just like excessive partying.

or they haven't allowed themselves to even kind of explore that part of their lives at all. everything has been very regimented and strict and everything needs to be a certain way in order to make sense. Sorry, my camera's getting crazy here right now, but anyway. So.

Rebecca Espinoza (36:22.773)
Okay.

Kristina (36:39.15)
That's or it's like you got to fall on one end of the spectrum of the other, or maybe depending on what part of your life, like I know people. One of my best friends, she's a Virgo. She also has Saturn and Pisces right now. And like there are areas of her life where she's super organized, super structured. And then there's also another area of her life where she just needs to escape. So it's almost like we're leaning on for just going to both ends of the spectrum for different reasons, different needs.

Rebecca Espinoza (37:04.522)
Okay, okay.

Kristina (37:08.942)
And I think the root of it all is finding that balance, that both things are accessible to you, but we don't want to go overboard, you know, in either direction. You know, how do we work with both of those things harmoniously? so yeah, I would say that's part of the Saturn-Price East journey.

Rebecca Espinoza (37:20.206)
Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (37:25.197)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (37:28.59)
Okay, that's good to know. so... Yeah, I feel like that I relate to some of that actually. I'm curious to see like what else my chart says in regards to that. when it comes to before we dive into, just everyone knows like Christina is going to give me a little bit of a lowdown of what's going on in my chart. So we can all have like some tangible, something tangible to kind of...

Kristina (37:39.23)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (37:54.69)
go off of like what it's like to be in Saturn Return and some of you may even like relate to it, who knows? Before we get into that, what do you think, what's a common misconception actually when it comes?

to Saturn return, like that people may hold or a misunderstanding about it.

Kristina (38:12.566)
Yeah, think people just think it's all doom and gloom. That it's just like, yeah, it's all doom and gloom. And the way people kind of think when they hear Mercury retrograde is happening, they're like, God, like, here we go again. It's not to say that there aren't gonna be hard times.

Rebecca Espinoza (38:23.064)
That's a big one, I agree.

Kristina (38:39.062)
But I think you also have a choice of how you want your relationship to be to it. know, retrogrades happen for a reason. It's for us to slow down. It's for us to take stock. It's for us to rest. It's for us to kind of strategize. It's for us, it gives us an opportunity and an excuse to just take a step back for a moment and not be so active and not just move forward, you know, through life without

Rebecca Espinoza (38:49.742)
Hmm?

Kristina (39:09.238)
kind of taking the blinders off and recognizing what's happening around you. And so, yeah, I will say with all of the hardships that I experienced in my Saturn return, it also is some of the most fun years I've ever had in my life. I experienced so much love, so much community.

I also had, you know, in launching my business, I planned a whole moon circle across the country from New York. And this is one of the times that I came back out to LA just to visit for two weeks, but I planned my first moon circle out here in LA. I also planned my first day-long retreat. And then I came when I was back here, it happened three days later. You know, some of the most like proud moments I've ever had.

Rebecca Espinoza (39:46.838)
Yeah.

Kristina (40:05.462)
happened during my Saturn return. And I've made lifelong friends, people that I now like consider family and very much my LA family here. And it's been so rewarding. And there is that light at the end of the tunnel. And I think that that's why I try to emphasize the hopefulness because

Rebecca Espinoza (40:16.503)
Yeah.

Kristina (40:33.17)
I don't recognize the girl that I was when it first started. I don't know who she is. I love her. I love her with all of my heart. And I think back at that time and I get emotional still to this day. Like when I think about who I was then and you know.

Rebecca Espinoza (40:36.856)
Right.

Of course.

Kristina (40:54.672)
I allow the emotion to rush through me because I know that girl needed so much love then that she didn't know how to give to herself at the moment. But now I know, I know how to do that. I know how to do that for myself now. And whenever, you know, meeting people now with who I am and I talk about that time, they're like, I can't even like imagine you in that way or like.

I don't know, like there's a certain things and or even looking at pictures of myself from just three years ago. And I'm like, wow, like I even had the beliefs that I had around like my body and I didn't even think I had body dysmorphia, but I did. I used to think I was like, I just wasn't that I wasn't thin enough that I wasn't this. And I'm like, I actually gained 20 pounds in my Saturn return. And I love the way my body looks right now.

Rebecca Espinoza (41:33.976)
Right.

Rebecca Espinoza (41:45.634)
Yeah.

Kristina (41:50.64)
And I was like, wow, I actually was so skinny and I looked sad and I looked sick and I looked, you know, and, but I'm seeing it from a whole different lens that I did now. And I don't put any shame on that girl because she did the best she could with the tools that she had. And that's the one thing I still tell.

Rebecca Espinoza (41:54.926)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (42:01.208)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (42:07.541)
Exactly, exactly.

Kristina (42:12.372)
clients and you know whenever I do one-off readings it's like you are doing the best you can with what you have and the tools that you're gonna have a year from now they're gonna look different they're gonna feel different and it's great you know that's part of life yeah

Rebecca Espinoza (42:28.458)
It is. It is. And I think people need to hear that because I think we create these expectations of like, we should be doing better right now. I should be doing better and I should like, just be getting through this. I shouldn't be in this same cycle or this like pattern that I'm in over and over. And it's like, okay, yo, you're not going to get it the first time around. Like it's not meant to be that way anyways. Like

Kristina (42:33.142)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (42:48.256)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (42:57.454)
I think we're in that Saturn return period for a certain amount of time for a reason, because you're not going to get it just like within that first two months ago and like, we're good and moving on to the next like part of life, it takes time because like you said, bringing it back. We're needing to rewrite those like beliefs that when we were seven years old, we're being and you know, in in psychology.

Kristina (42:57.888)
Totally.

Kristina (43:01.747)
Yes.

Kristina (43:06.644)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (43:20.278)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (43:24.504)
That's the, actually aligns really well with psychology because zero to seven are the ages set by seven years old. Your personality is already set in stone when it comes to psychology because of the subconscious mind, because of how malleable your brain was during that time. And literally everything, your beliefs, your values, like your actions and your, about the world and.

Kristina (43:34.87)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (43:44.352)
Yep.

Rebecca Espinoza (43:51.65)
how you see yourself and people are mostly by seven and then 14 if grace period. So then your brain isn't even done developing until you're 25.

Kristina (43:57.632)
Yeah.

Kristina (44:03.136)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (44:04.92)
So no shit, we're gonna go through a big death by the time we get to like 28.

Kristina (44:06.547)
Yeah!

Kristina (44:12.673)
100%. And like, I think also allowing your, your expectations of what your life is going to look like and your dreams to change. think sometimes we get so stuck. I thought I was going be married with at least one kid right now. That was the plan.

Rebecca Espinoza (44:21.664)
I know, that's been a big one.

Rebecca Espinoza (44:27.534)
Oh yeah, dude, for me, I was like 25, I'm married.

Kristina (44:32.278)
You have the start of my Saturn return. I was in my last relationship and that was the plan. I was already going to have a one year old basically at this point. Now I'm like, I can't even imagine that right now. But what I do know is that like, I am very firm in, I would love to be married one day. I am definitely going to have a family. I don't know what it's going to look like. I don't know.

Rebecca Espinoza (44:35.736)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (44:44.321)
Yeah. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (44:52.536)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (44:58.996)
what will that entail, but I know that I will be happy because I trust myself. Then it was just like, this is what the timeline that I have in my head of what I am supposed to do, because this is what was told to me and you don't know what life is gonna throw at you. And it's very easy to feel shame and guilt don't do anything for you. It just doesn't, it just doesn't. It does.

Rebecca Espinoza (45:02.487)
Exactly.

Rebecca Espinoza (45:17.504)
No, you- no.

Rebecca Espinoza (45:22.976)
No, it makes your life so much more difficult. The initiation so rigorous and you're where we're gonna be going through a lot. And there's that whole quote, I don't even know where it comes from, but you see it a lot of just like man made a plan and God laughed kind of thing. Cause it's like you're making a plan on such limited information. Cause you don't know what's, you don't know all of the

Kristina (45:28.33)
It does.

Kristina (45:41.12)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (45:49.728)
Yes.

Rebecca Espinoza (45:52.098)
the invisible strings that are in the divine on the other side that are being pulled to really make your life more of this grand masterpiece. And you actually have any idea that is capable of being done just by like your own finite information and perspective and like lived experience, right? You're gonna keep living life and seeing like, yeah, future changes. yeah, I don't want that anymore. yeah, I'm a different person now. So I'm gonna go on a different path and that's okay. That is.

Kristina (45:53.886)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (46:18.302)
Mm-hmm. Yep.

Rebecca Espinoza (46:22.144)
so much more normal than I think just staying the one path forever, because that doesn't seem human. Like, look at us, we've evolved and grown so much because humans have continued to grow and change in different ways. Something that you brought up a term or like a word that I wanna, before we get into the reading, we'll get into that, but trust. I think trust.

Kristina (46:26.378)
Mm-hmm. Definitely. No.

Mm-hmm.

Kristina (46:38.806)
totally.

Kristina (46:46.58)
Hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (46:49.07)
I'll speak personally, like trust has been a big piece for me for my Saturn return where I'm like, I have no idea what the fuck is going on. Like I like look at this that happened with my dad, you again, same thing like this. I got thrust into this huge initiation of transformation with my father and my family. And it has changed me to the core. And honestly, like.

Kristina (46:50.932)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (47:16.534)
I remember I did a solo mushroom journey like the year last May and my dad was diagnosed, actually it's been about a year now since my dad's diagnosis. He was diagnosed last February. And I remember during that journey, like I felt myself die. Like a part of me was dying. Like I literally had like, my ancestors were there to help bury this part of me, like the maiden, it was the maiden that died.

Kristina (47:20.214)
Mmm.

Kristina (47:28.692)
Mmm.

Kristina (47:35.766)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (47:45.89)
queen was like being called forward to like, who are you going to be? Like, who do you want to be now? For your family, for yourself, for the people in your life, your community? What are you going to do? What are you going to create with this big initiation in life that you're being like thrust into? That little girl was like, part of her was being asked to grow up a lot now because her dad was dying. And that was just like, I think so symbolic of

Kristina (48:09.941)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (48:15.694)
my Saturn return because like I was I was was how old was I? I hadn't turned 29 yet. I was 28. I was going to turn 29 in a month. So I was going through this big like death and rebirth like just through that like journey for my ceremony that I think really set the tone though for like what my Saturn return means to me. So trust like I for people

Kristina (48:24.128)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (48:35.306)
Yeah.

Kristina (48:40.425)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (48:46.484)
For me, if I'm gonna be honest, and maybe you can speak on your experience too, trust, and I have a hard time explaining trust to people because to me, it's so innate, it's so natural. I can't tell you why, it's just in me where I, regardless of what I fucking go through, I know I'm gonna be so good and I'm gonna be happy and I'm gonna be thriving and I trust, I think what it is, I trust God.

Kristina (48:50.986)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (49:16.172)
and it's my connection to God, therefore I trust myself. And it's just, don't even have to think about it. And I'm gonna be real, like I do have my doubts, of course there are times, especially last year, but like it's there, it is unwavering. And I know there are people who like don't have that. And someone I spoke to recently was like, I don't have that. And that's why change and transition are so difficult for them. Because how are they supposed to trust something they cannot see yet?

Kristina (49:16.308)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (49:28.402)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (49:41.568)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (49:45.664)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (49:46.146)
And what is your experience with trust? And is there maybe anything, even with your clients that you maybe have said, that makes it more solid or tangible when it comes to during these times having trust?

Kristina (50:00.102)
Yeah, I think a lot of kind of like just tie it into astrology where, know, or even history, everything is all patterns and cycles. And I think as we grow older, and we have these life experiences, that is our proof. You know, that is our proof that you went through this hard time when you were

Rebecca Espinoza (50:11.214)
Mmm.

Kristina (50:26.954)
maybe 11 years old and this thing happened, know, this loss of some kind happened. You went through this thing when you were 18, you went through this thing when you were 23, whatever, and you got through it. And I think, at least for me, looking back at those moments that felt like everything was just in flames.

Rebecca Espinoza (50:37.526)
And you got through it.

Rebecca Espinoza (50:43.95)
Mmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (50:48.813)
a good one.

Kristina (50:51.634)
and that my life was falling apart, whatever it was, and then just knowing like, wow, that hardship that I experienced, I got through it.

Okay, like what are the common themes with all of those moments? What happened? know, like what was I telling myself? You know, what were people telling me? Like what were the beliefs that I leaned on in those moments? Who was I thinking about? You know, cause that's another thing too. know, obviously we are,

Rebecca Espinoza (51:17.218)
Hmm, hmm.

Kristina (51:31.414)
Hopefully most of us are lucky enough to have people in our lives that set good examples of going through trials and tribulations and how do they get through, know, how do they get out of that? How do they move through it? And I think expressing gratitude as well has been helpful where I'm like, okay, you know, I have my people, I have my community, I have my family, I have all these things, I have things that I know that I are a support system.

Rebecca Espinoza (51:39.032)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (52:01.362)
And so as long as I have that and I have that love in my life and that belief that if I really need somebody, someone's going to be there, I can get through this. it really is those moments of when you've already proven to yourself who you are.

And I think the people that you can look up to, whether it's a mentor, whoever else in your life that you witnessed them going through something and them getting themselves out of it. think that's why it's so important to hear people's

Rebecca Espinoza (52:34.06)
Yes, and it really is. Truly.

Kristina (52:36.17)
And I've known someone who's gone through homelessness and, you know, now has a beautiful home with his family and has a great job. And just like hearing, I can't even imagine that experience and what he must have went through during that time. He's an Aries and, know, in his, his biggest thing was like, you know, I'm not afraid to start again.

And I think that's a beautiful part of what every sign can offer us is like, and that's Aries energy. And I am very grateful to have my Aries moon where I think that I leaned on that too. And that understanding of myself and my own chart was just like, like I'm not afraid to start again. Like that's the beauty of life that I, I get the opportunity to start a fresh chapter, maybe in maybe a whole new book if I want to. And like, how cool is that that I get to do that?

Rebecca Espinoza (53:21.134)
Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (53:27.96)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Kristina (53:33.874)
And I really think it's the way we talk to ourselves as well during those times.

Rebecca Espinoza (53:37.198)
Yeah, it really is that perspective that you can hold because someone can look at that as like, fuck, I have to start from zero again. Like I have to put in all the work, the energy, the time. don't have enough time. don't have the loop that can start versus like, this is a blank canvas. Oh my God, like what can I create? This is gonna be so epic. And there is a big difference in that. And sometimes it's harder for some people than it is for others. But like you said, like that's why.

Kristina (53:41.266)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (53:48.682)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (53:54.997)
Yeah.

Kristina (54:03.446)
Totally.

Rebecca Espinoza (54:06.604)
I think having the right people in your life who can.

call you out maybe when they need to call you out to be like, we got to change this perspective a little bit. And also those I can just give you the wisdom, be expanders in your life to be able to remind you, no, you're going to get through this. Or like, look, I was there, something similar, like you said, sharing those stories and look at me on this other side. So I thank you for sharing that about them. Looking at past marking points in your life and just seeing that.

Kristina (54:12.944)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Kristina (54:36.586)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (54:38.316)
I went through this hard time, it might not be the same thing, but I fucking got through it. And I gained something from it, which is now why I'm here, going through another hard time, because everything that I've collected from the other past hard times will help me get through this one. I think that's what that's helpful for me even. So thank you for that. Yeah, okay, should we get into the chart a bit? Okay, I'm gonna pour myself another cup of tea, I'll be right back.

Kristina (54:42.794)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (54:52.384)
Yeah.

Kristina (54:56.374)
Oh, of course.

Kristina (55:01.118)
Yes!

Okay, yeah, of course.

Rebecca Espinoza (55:47.404)
Okay.

Kristina (55:50.486)
No worries.

Kristina (55:55.606)
I'm also just looking at your chart and like we should do like an official reading. Oh, hey Erin. She says hi. Oh, hi. I was trying to give her kisses back. Yeah, she can't hear you. Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (56:13.966)
She says hi.

Yeah, she can't hear you.

Kristina (56:25.084)
No worries, but I was trying to get my AirPods to charge up a little bit. I was like, please don't die. Okay, amazing. We also should just do a, you know, off camera or whatever, but we should do an actual reading because I'm looking at your chart. I'm like, this is fun.

Rebecca Espinoza (56:41.046)
Okay, I'm down. Okay, I'm down. Okay, let's hope they're actually fun.

Kristina (56:46.39)
have a lot of fun things going on here. It'll be fun for me to talk about with you.

Rebecca Espinoza (56:55.646)
It's not it's like you sound like the universe where it's like have you seen those like reels or it's just like a meme where it's like Just calling the universe to make sure i'm getting my hot girl summer and not another like serving of life lessons And I feel like that sounds like you or you're like god you're like this is gonna be so fun for her when it's just like lesson after lesson That's god's version of fun because you get to grow

Kristina (57:11.258)
Yeah

Yeah.

Kristina (57:20.773)
It's so funny. I know I definitely feel that when I'm like, okay, the lessons, like, can we just put like a pause a little bit? Can we start having fun? So funny. Right. Okay. Am I, do you want me to show your chart? Am I allowed to share my screen? Is that a thing?

Rebecca Espinoza (57:29.122)
Fuck, someone's gotta do it.

Kristina (57:44.31)
If not, no worries. Okay, okay, cool. Sounds good. All right, so there's a couple of things that I have like three tabs open. So one, I have your birth chart. The second, I have your transit chart. So it's to kind of see how the planets are currently impacting you. And then I have just a...

Rebecca Espinoza (57:45.718)
No, okay, no, it's good. You can just share like what's going on. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (58:05.794)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (58:10.946)
list chart because I was curious to see when your peak moment is happening. April, yes, so it's coming up April 2nd. Yeah. Very exciting. And

Rebecca Espinoza (58:16.492)
I think that's like in April, right?

Rebecca Espinoza (58:21.87)
I'm put that on my calendar right now.

Kristina (58:32.726)
Okay, so let's first just talk about you having Saturn and Pisces in the Ninth House. And off camera, we were talking about how Rebecca and I had a very brief conversation. She was driving me home one day, I forgot from, it may have been one of your things that I was just attempting, but we talked in the car about your Saturn, and then I thought almost like three years ago,

you having Saturday in the ninth house and it for you it's it's interesting because it's already you know when we talk about Saturday return it has everything to do with you know our like beliefs and a learning certain things all of that yours is like so rooted in your beliefs because that's really what ninth house is about so it's your beliefs belief systems

Rebecca Espinoza (59:21.326)
Hmm.

Kristina (59:28.01)
could be religion, spirituality, your relationship with those things. Also long distance travel, higher education. So that is really the realm of what the Ninth House represents. We can also look to the opposite house, which would be the third, which is more so close knit community, basic education, and exchanging of ideas.

Rebecca Espinoza (59:35.662)
Mmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (59:48.99)
Okay.

Wow.

Kristina (59:54.132)
Writing usually lives in this area too. like while kind of just like writing is in different forms of communication. I would even put podcasting in there as well. And I think you have a third house placement. You have your Chiron in there and also your Mars and Virgo. Yes.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:00:04.232)
Okay, interesting.

in Virgo.

Kristina (01:00:14.804)
Music will go, I love that. then, and your chiron is your wounded healer. So it's also an area of your life where you're meant to be like the master healer of that part of your life. Which is why that's what I saw. And I was like, we should do a reading the day. Like, I want to dive into that with you a little bit more. And so you already naturally do really well with

Rebecca Espinoza (01:00:24.407)
interesting. Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:00:30.08)
Okay.

Kristina (01:00:40.246)
close knit community, taking action in that way, putting your energy in that direction, being a healer in that area as well. And then the opposite being that Saturn return. A lot of your journey with Saturn is, I think you and I had briefly kind of talked about your relationship with religion. I mean, like what it was for you when you were younger.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:00:46.894)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:01:05.086)
And so it could have been because let's bring up some just like key terms of Saturn. There is responsibility, there's discipline, there's structure, but there's also restrictions and limitations and delays and kind of these roadblocks that happen.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:01:17.516)
Okay.

Kristina (01:01:21.91)
So it could also feel very frustrating and that's a that's a energy of Saturn return that I definitely experience and what I hear a lot of folks feel is like this frustration of just wanting to like move forward with something but it just feels like there's a delay or you're feeling restricted by something it's not allowing you to just like Yes

Rebecca Espinoza (01:01:35.862)
Yes, you're just like, you're like walking through mud. You're just like can't fucking move through this.

Kristina (01:01:43.388)
Exactly because while like say when we talk about planets like Venus and Jupiter Loves instant gratification. It's like give me that good feeling. Give me that those good vibes, right? While Saturn is like, a minute like we actually need to work at this before we can reap the rewards of it and that's really what Saturn wants us to do is to put in that work and So with yours I had a lot to do with

your unlearning, maybe certain beliefs, know, like kind of how I talked about just in basics out and return way of just like unlearning certain beliefs, but maybe it was like based within an institution of church, religion, all the kind of politics that come with that as well, your relationship to those things, your relationship to spirituality.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:02:30.894)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:02:36.694)
And then also higher education where it could be if you wanted to say maybe publish a book.

Two, if you're, maybe there's like a trip that happens where, or just like in life whenever you've kind of been adventurous or went on some sort of like big excursion and, you know, had to do with something that was maybe not related to your own culture, just like you kind of having these big like aha moments when you immerse yourself into something that's outside of you.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:03:06.2)
Mm.

Kristina (01:03:11.014)
and maybe something that is foreign to you. And that is a lot of what you're, and also a big shift can happen with what you choose to believe in and what, like where you place, or where you place your faith in, or what you place your faith in is how I wanna say it.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:03:11.254)
Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:03:31.991)
Okay.

Kristina (01:03:35.07)
So there was something when we were talking about earlier, when we were talking about trust that I was like, yeah, this is for Saturn talking right now. And so yeah, it was really cool to like, as an astrologer, to see those, witness those moments from people. So I'm like, there it is. Yes, yes. So yeah, with all that said, how does that make you feel? Are there certain like life events or kind of just moments that have happened in your Saturn return or even even before?

Rebecca Espinoza (01:03:45.262)
You're like, this is in her chart. This makes sense.

Kristina (01:04:02.742)
that maybe speaks to you.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:04:05.614)
I mean, I feel like the higher education piece has always landed for me when I found out that that's my Saturn return because I feel like the last few years of my life have been this like insatiable desire to just keep learning about the things that I know light me up and then how I want to be of service with them. And I'm actually gonna make a, you know, I think I also want to bring clarity. Like, I don't think higher education has to necessarily mean like,

I'm going to go to grad school. I think that's one system that can be a form of higher education. But to me, higher education is like big learning, like devote devoting my time to like a big source of learning that again, I'm going to use for something to go be of service for for me at least, or to go like mold my life in a certain way that is going to shape again, my beliefs. And actually, like

Kristina (01:04:37.108)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:04:40.947)
Absolutely.

Kristina (01:04:57.099)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:05:04.046)
I have been thinking about and yes, community is a big part of my life as well. Always has been. was just Erin and I were just talking like to us, our friends, our community are like our family. They're like my friends are my family for me. And recently I've not recently. I would say, let's see when I was 20 in 2021. So that was how long ago was that? That was three, four, about four years ago, three.

Kristina (01:05:31.206)
ago. Yeah. Three, four.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:05:35.098)
I, so when I took that trip, it was right before my 26th birthday. Maybe I went to Guatemala, to learn permaculture from one of my mentors. I'm going to have on this podcast, Sarah Wu. She's a permaculturist and herbalist and that, that was there for a month. That trip changed my life.

Kristina (01:05:44.278)
Mmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:06:00.142)
in so many ways because it changed the way I want to live. It changed the way I perceive what the world we live in is, how the world of corporations are, like all of these things. It completely changed how I want to raise a family, how the kind of home I want to have. Like all of these things were just like put on blast for me. And that went away for a bit after.

Kristina (01:06:01.931)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:06:22.955)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:06:28.206)
because I couldn't integrate it properly. came back to LA and I was like, well, now what do I do with all this that I just learned? How do I live like that here? And it went away for a bit. It's coming back around. I'm actually gonna take another permaculture course with another mentor of mine that I know it's gonna change my life profoundly. And it's gonna be a form of higher education and learning. I'm gonna go deeper into this form of permaculture and design.

Kristina (01:06:28.63)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:06:40.896)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:06:49.13)
Yes.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:06:56.878)
because I want to do it for myself. I want to raise my family one day on the land that I'm going to have, with the home that I build, this land, with this information that I get. And I want to make a living doing this as well. I want to help other people do this as well. And it's been making me think a lot of things where I'm just like, again, questioning. just like, I'm feeding into this system of the world of corruption and corporations and this like,

Kristina (01:07:07.99)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:07:26.764)
Like even when it comes to being in the realm of storytelling, which is what this podcast is, I want to be so mindful about the stories we are telling and the information and the media that I'm sharing because our world is inundated with like unsupportive media that is programming our entire generations of people in ways that is unhealthy. That's why bringing stories like this to me are super important.

Kristina (01:07:32.33)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:07:56.204)
So all of this stuff started coming back around within the last, I would say like six months even. It was creeping in the last year, but the last few months have been like, I want to change the way I live. I'm like, I need to cancel my Amazon account. I need to stop relying on fucking Amazon. I do not want to pay this fucking like billionaire to like have an Amazon account. Like I'm just like, I'm.

Kristina (01:08:01.684)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:08:08.822)
Mm. Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:08:20.234)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:08:21.458)
I want to disconnect from these like bigger corporate, like I want to be local. I want to buy local. I want to stop relying on like gratification, instant gratification and just like, I want to understand the importance of devoting and just like having to what I have and creating what I have. Right. So

And doing that in community too. I'm just like, if we just all lived in smaller communities with our favorite people, life would be so much easier. Like, why can't we just do that and grow our own food and like go back to that way? Like these things are seriously on my mind a lot now. And that, that wasn't on my mind the way it is now. The last time that was on my mind was when I was like 26, when I did that. I, celebrated my birthday there in Guatemala during the permaculture. It was like the last day of our event.

Kristina (01:08:48.149)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:08:54.09)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:09:00.31)
Hmm.

Kristina (01:09:05.43)
Mmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:09:09.046)
of our training. So like, that's, that's what's been prevalent in my life now. And even more so with the passing of my dad, those things have been coming up, who do I want to be? Like, who do I want to fucking be? How am I going to show up? How am I going to live my life? And religion and God, like that's been coming up for me as well. Last year, my relationship to God got challenged a lot because I was like, why the fuck am I going through this with my dad? Why is my dad going through this?

Kristina (01:09:21.482)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:09:38.772)
but I was able to alchemize it. I alchemized it and saw a lot of the medicine and teachings and wisdom. It deepened my trust in my relationship with God, actually. And I'm getting back to a simpler practice of spirituality that is deeper in me. It's not this like grandiose thing that I that it was when I was, I think, 23 and when I first started and I was like, I need everyone to know how spiritual I am and mystical and woo woo and I'm the witch and I want everyone to fucking know it.

Kristina (01:09:48.041)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:10:08.662)
It's not like that anymore. It's so subtle. It's just in me. It's who I am and it's there. It's trust. That's how I can describe it. So that's a synopsis of like all of it.

Kristina (01:10:08.702)
Yeah. Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:10:18.112)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:10:23.51)
I love that. And it sounds like it's more sacred to you. You know, I think when something is sacred, it's something that you want to protect. It's something that you want for yourself. But it doesn't mean you can't share it with other people, but it's how you share it. You know, it's that mindfulness behind it. And so, yeah, I'm so glad you said that. And yeah, it's interesting when you were talking, I was just curious of what the astrology was for you.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:10:31.992)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:10:38.616)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:10:50.614)
back in 2021, because I know you have your North and South node in Taurus and Scorpio and the nodes had shifted into Taurus and Scorpio at the end of that year. And so.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:10:52.854)
Okay, yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:11:00.366)
Okay, let me double check what year. Let me double check. I believe it was 2020. Let's see. When was I in Guatemala? Yes, this year.

Yeah, 2021.

Kristina (01:11:14.326)
2021, yeah. So you were having your nodal reverse. Yeah, your nodal reverse at the time. Yeah, it's, yeah, I think, yeah, I love, I think that's also so beautiful that, you know, we have these moments, but maybe it's, I think we were talking about, like you were,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:11:20.172)
I was turning 26, yeah.

Kristina (01:11:39.156)
what I gathered from what you said, was just like the timing of it all. Like, you know, it kind of got lost after the experience, but then there was this timeframe when it comes back. And also maybe that you are ready, you know, in a way that you weren't then. And, you know, maybe some of these life experiences in between had to happen for you to be like, no, like, this is really what I want. This is what I'm going after.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:11:45.816)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:11:55.374)
True.

Kristina (01:12:09.174)
I think that's a huge part of Saturn Return too, is that there are things that are gonna come back from maybe like past thoughts or past moments or experiences that we had that were fleeting at the time. But then it's like, oh yeah, I remember when that happened. Or I remember when I was, there was that.

time period when I was, I don't know, 24 and I felt so free and whatever and then all of sudden that kind of went away and you know, but now I can like kind of grab back onto that and build off of that now. And that's so exciting and I think also when I talk about, you when I spoke about peaks, like that peak moment, it's different for everybody. For me, that's when I experienced that.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:12:40.024)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:12:59.06)
that feeling of loneliness, but it's also in relation to what I was, how I was participating in my life at that time. And that was me holding on. And which is reason why I tell people that are about to go through the Saturn return or if they're already in it is allowing yourself to surrender is so...

Rebecca Espinoza (01:13:00.834)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:13:27.51)
It allows so much freedom for you to just experience rather than being resistant to the change. Because I have friends who have went through their peaks already. More so folks that were born in 94. I know you're born 95. When they've experienced their peaks, some of them have, you know, weren't as insane and some of them did have, but I could tell who were the people that were holding on and were resistant.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:13:33.484)
Hmm?

Kristina (01:13:56.288)
to the change and who was surrendering. It was very clear to see who decided that, you know, for themselves and that friend that I was speaking about who was calling me when I was in New York, I wanted, he really leaned into that. That's something that he held onto. He experienced his peak. I believe it was around March of last year. And when it happened, he was like,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:14:07.943)
huh.

Kristina (01:14:26.294)
Dude, I'm just like on top of a mountain right now. He's like, I'm just looking over, you know, like what's in front of me. He's like, I feel so much peace. He's like, I know life is really hard right now. And he's like, I have a lot of like decisions to make and whatever and things are changing constantly. He's like, but I just have so much peace and knowing that like, I'm gonna be okay. And it felt so good to hear him say that. Cause I was like, oh, I'm glad. I'm glad that you...

Rebecca Espinoza (01:14:36.334)
you

Rebecca Espinoza (01:14:49.037)
Mm.

Kristina (01:14:54.838)
are allowing yourself to surrender. Like that's really what the definition of true surrendering allows is just like, I know it's gonna be okay. And again, moving back into that feeling of trust and.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:14:56.428)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:15:10.35)
Yeah, I think surrender, a big part of surrender is you need trust and you can't surrender if you don't trust and because people are probably gonna realize like, well, how do I surrender? And it's so existential sometimes because it's not a one, two, three formula stab. And I'm like, if you're here, if you're listening to this and you want that, I'm sorry, you're really not gonna get that here. It's just like.

Kristina (01:15:14.982)
You trust.

Kristina (01:15:25.206)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:15:29.631)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:15:36.642)
We can't give you that because one, it's personal to everyone and two, you have to experience it and live it yourself. But I think the most tangible thing that you've given is look at proof of evidence from the past. You fucking got through this, you got through that and let that be an anchor for you. Let that be your source of tangible evidence. And it's true, to accept and surrender, you need trust at the core of it all.

Kristina (01:15:40.447)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:15:48.256)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:15:56.806)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:16:02.602)
Yeah, and I think nurturing, like if you know that this time is coming, right? Like that's kind of what astrology allows for you. I can't predict what's gonna happen to you. I'm not a fortune teller. I'm not a psychic, but you know, I can give some insight as to, okay, this is a moment that's gonna happen. You have the free will to decide what you wanna do with that, of course. So,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:16:14.849)
No.

Kristina (01:16:32.512)
During my peak, was alone in this apartment, not this apartment, but the apartment that I was in at the time. And I was sitting at the desk in the room, in the bedroom. And I was just like staring at the wall. And I was like, like this sucks. And I wanted so badly to like be out on the beach or whatever, but I was so stressed about money. And then versus my friend who...

Rebecca Espinoza (01:16:50.83)
Yeah

Kristina (01:16:56.17)
you know, experienced Saturn and Pisces and he was hiking. was like, just wanted to be in nature. I just wanted to just like, kind of take myself out of the mundane and you know, I've been experiencing day to day. He's like, I just wanted to do something for myself and kind of just like, yeah, and nurture that. And I love that. I loved that. So that's another thing I encourage. If you know your peak,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:17:16.64)
Yeah, truly.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:17:25.055)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:17:25.844)
I look it up on the website that I love to use. It's called astro-seq.com. There's a tab where you can, I think it's called Saturn Return Calculator. It's under free horoscopes and there's a tab actually says prognosis, solar arc and solar return. You're gonna click on that one and it shows you all these different charts that you can pull up.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:17:31.534)
Astro Dash Seek, okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:17:48.43)
Mmm.

Kristina (01:17:52.214)
And it'll tell you the exact date of during your first time return when your peak is when you put in your birth information and so that's how I was able to find Rebecca's and Hers is on April 20 set. Sorry April 2nd of this year April 2nd and Yeah, take work off that day

Rebecca Espinoza (01:17:57.856)
Okay. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:18:06.862)
Oh, second, okay. Yeah, I'm gonna take work off that day if I'm gonna be working. I'm gonna take, someone literally told me, another astrologer told me, she's like, sometimes what I like to recommend to people during that is like, just go do something for yourself. Like take a road trip if you want to, like on your peak. And honestly, I'm like, a road trip sounds nice. I do a road trip on that like weekend and just.

Kristina (01:18:23.456)
Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Totally.

Kristina (01:18:33.256)
road trip sounds nice.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:18:35.116)
get away and be a nature for me. Like again, what's calling me is like, want to be a nature during that time. That's when I feel so close to God. And I don't know, it's just, it's a moment. Yeah.

Kristina (01:18:39.616)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, you're triple water, baby. So, you know, you be by the ocean, a lake, a waterfall, a stream, whatever it may be. Just, yeah, and like, and that's the thing too, which is so...

Rebecca Espinoza (01:18:50.69)
I need my leg. I need my leg.

Kristina (01:18:59.184)
so awesome about astrology is that it is a tool. It is a tool that we can use. Like what is going to work for you? It not necessarily will work for somebody else. Like there's a reason why we have the elements that are in play when it comes to this too. Like play with that. Like get curious about your own astrology. And

Rebecca Espinoza (01:19:04.654)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:19:13.902)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:19:20.478)
and know that that's there for you to kind of just like, you know, lean into your moonsign during that time. Like, what is your like, you know, there's so much emotional change. Exactly.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:19:26.902)
Yeah.

Yeah, like how's, where's your like play and joy? what, yeah, like the energy of like where you're exactly.

Kristina (01:19:35.67)
Yeah, look to your fifth house for that, you know, like, and maybe incorporate all those things into one experience for yourself. yeah, it's there for you to use. so yeah, I'm looking forward to hearing how your peak goes and...

Rebecca Espinoza (01:19:42.882)
I love that.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:19:47.586)
Mm-hmm.

beautiful.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:19:55.032)
Thanks. Thank you.

Kristina (01:19:57.544)
I think it's going to be just based off of everything you've already experienced and kind of just the way you're speaking about it right now. It gives me like this honestly a relief feeling of like, yeah, she's got this like.

you're more than okay, you're more than fine. And I know that you already know that. And I think that there, yeah, it also gives you this opportunity to also enjoy the moments. So yeah, looking forward to that for you, of course. Of course.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:20:19.182)
Thank you.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:20:27.658)
Absolutely.

Yeah, thank you. Thank you for tapping into my char a little bit and getting some insight for myself and for everyone out there. I think we dove into some really tangible and I think tangible, but also just like those existential pieces of life that you can't quite explain. You have to live to understand. But if you haven't lived it yet, we hope this could actually bring maybe a bit more comfort knowing that you may be going into your Saturn return or you're in it now.

and it can maybe bring some clarity. Before we log off, I definitely want to be able to do a quick little rapid fire, just so our community can know you a little bit more too, since you are a bit of our house of shoulder. Okay, what's your favorite sign?

Kristina (01:21:02.697)
Yes.

Kristina (01:21:15.99)
Yay! Wow, my gosh, my favorite sign. I have so many for different reasons. Honestly, I'm gonna say Aries. I'm gonna say Aries.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:21:31.714)
of the head.

Kristina (01:21:34.806)
I have, for anyone who could see, I have the Aries symbol and the moon. I'm an Aries moon tattooed on me. I think it is the thing that has gotten me through a lot of harsh moments in my life and kind of going just to kind of circle back to how we were talking about it earlier. Yeah, I think it's that it's the trust and knowing like I'm not afraid to start again.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:21:40.883)
my gosh, yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:22:02.958)
Mm.

Kristina (01:22:03.862)
and to birth something new and it is the first sign of the zodiac it's the child it's it has its innocence to it too and that desire and that wanting and I think that is what makes us alive so yeah I miss Aries yeah but all of them I love all of them for different reasons

Rebecca Espinoza (01:22:05.998)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:22:20.866)
Yeah. Okay. We'll take it. What's your... I know you do. I know you do. Because you know the signs intimately, so I'm sure you can just be like, that one's good for this reason and so on and so on. Okay. What's your go-to self-care ritual or routine or tool, right?

Kristina (01:22:39.766)
My go-to. Wow, I love to, honestly, okay, this is where my Venus, part of me is I'm a Libra rising and Taurus sun, so very, very Venusian vibes. honestly getting my, I was not feeling well earlier this week. Ed, my fee.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:22:51.054)
Mm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yes.

Kristina (01:23:03.318)
Oh God, they look terrible. hadn't gone on a pedicure in a long time. And I'm like, I think this is making me feel more ill. Like I genuinely was like. So honestly, like getting my nails done, like something I always have to do for myself, because I'm like, I look at my hands and my feet every day, all day. Like I can be ignorant and not know what my face looks like. You know what I mean? Like I don't have to look in a mirror if I don't want to, but I'm like, I could be going through a bad day. And as long as my nails look good.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:23:11.372)
I can't look at my feet.

Awwww.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:23:19.854)
True. True.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:23:25.069)
Very true.

Hahaha

Kristina (01:23:32.18)
and my feet are well pedicured and done, then I'm okay. Honestly, it's... Yeah. And I'm like, you're always on your feet. I'm always using my hands. I should be nurturing, giving those parts of my body love. yeah, from a Taurus, Libra, and the big three advice.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:23:38.072)
That's such a good point.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:23:49.166)
I love it. Give some love. Yeah, it's true. We use our hands and feet all the time. All the time. I love it. You're right. Very Venetian. Okay. Guilty pleasure movie or TV show.

Kristina (01:23:59.686)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:24:04.729)
Oh my gosh, I'm a big reality girl. But I'm a big competition show person. I probably learned the Taurus and Aries part of me coming too. There's a bunch of different shows. I don't know if they're really guilty pleasures or whatever, but I just watch a lot of it. So I'm a big the challenge. Probably shows that people wouldn't expect me to watch.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:24:07.926)
Okay, share it.

okay. What is it?

Rebecca Espinoza (01:24:31.213)
I would not expect you to watch that.

Kristina (01:24:33.238)
The one that I loved recently and it's still on and I love it so much is called Traders. It's on Peacock. It is so good. Yeah, so, yeah, I just love when people like.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:24:38.806)
Mm-mm. okay, Peacock, Peacock.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:24:46.166)
Is it where they're doing all these competitions and like having to like.

Kristina (01:24:49.738)
they do competitions and so there's like these secret traitors within a group of faithfuls. And they're eliminating people. then also, yeah, the faithfuls are then just like basically, yeah. But then they end up like kind of eliminating other faithful most of the time. But I would say more so probably guilty. I love a coming of age story. like all of like the like,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:24:54.798)
Rebecca Espinoza (01:25:10.124)
Right. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:25:16.118)
Of course.

Kristina (01:25:18.51)
just cheesy, cute, like Netflix shows, like, I love that. I love all of them. I love all there's like a

Rebecca Espinoza (01:25:22.44)
yeah, those are my guilty pleasures too.

Like have you seen, have you seen XO Kitty or something? I haven't seen the new season. I haven't seen the new season yet. I know Shay's all about it. I wish Shay was here because she's also, she just texted me. She's like, you have to watch it. It's back on. And yeah, we're, we're about that here.

Kristina (01:25:30.44)
Yes, I was just gonna say that one.

You have to, it's so good.

Kristina (01:25:39.222)
Yes. Yes, it's so good. I love all of those. Like, I just, I don't know. I just, it's so good. It does, it does. And it's just, I don't know, like reminds you of that time of your life too. And like, just when everything felt so dramatic and everything went a grand and like, oh, this one's like into this one and they broke up and whatever. It's just like, it just allows you to just kind of like.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:25:45.966)
It does make you feel good.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:25:55.435)
Exactly.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:00.076)
GRAND!

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:05.598)
No.

Kristina (01:26:08.754)
shut the world off, know, sometimes soon, but yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:09.802)
It really is. It's good sometimes. gosh. Okay. Favorite food from your childhood?

Kristina (01:26:17.786)
Probably my grandma's rice and beans. Yeah. Yeah, she did. My father's side, they're Ecuadorian and my, I grew up with, my grandma helped raise me. And so I grew up with a lot of her food and I still to this day, I cannot replicate it. I just, I just cannot.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:20.174)
Mmm... Nothing like a... Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:27.416)
Okay.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:37.772)
Nope, you can't. You won't even... You never can.

Kristina (01:26:40.822)
She she puts I don't know what cheese in it as well and it's just like I'm not a big like I'm now I'm more of a rice girly but I was growing up I didn't really care for rice as much but when I was her rice and meat I was like give me a whole like I just want a plate like a big plate and I will tear that up. So that's definitely yes that is that is it.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:26:55.758)
and

Rebecca Espinoza (01:27:04.412)
I love that. you seen the show on Apple TV called like Water for Chocolate or like Como Agua Para Chocolate?

Kristina (01:27:14.326)
No. Really? Oh, yay. Okay, yes, I definitely have to watch.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:27:16.014)
I think you'll like it. It has a lot to do with food and it's in Spanish. It's in Spanish. used to be a book, but it's just like this woman who has this talent for cooking. But it's kind of mystical because she has a special talent where like when she's cooking, what she's feeling is infused in the food. But the core of it is like she loves the food. She loves to cook so much and it's felt when people eat it. And of course there's like the, it's set in Mexico. So all the like the telenovela drama.

Kristina (01:27:30.71)
Mmm.

Kristina (01:27:37.446)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:27:42.92)
Of course. I love that.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:27:43.382)
And it's amazing. It's set, I think, in the 1800s or something. But it just reminds me of when people try to, no one can ever cook like her. They're like, what's the recipe? How can I get it like this? And sometimes it's that special touch that someone just puts to it, and you can't replicate it.

Kristina (01:27:54.4)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:27:59.958)
It is. It is. It's so true. Oh, I love that. Classic grass I really want to go to south of France and I really want to go to Japan.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:28:04.202)
Love that. Okay. Classic rice and beans. Okay. Bucket list. Bucket list travel location.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:28:25.612)
Gosh, yes, Japan has been on my list for so long. South of France is gorgeous.

Kristina (01:28:28.222)
And know so many of my friends are going to Japan this year. I'm like, but also like five of my friends are getting married this year and everything's happening on the East Coast. So I'm like, well, maybe next year.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:28:39.179)
my god, love those destination weddings. Okay.

Kristina (01:28:43.254)
It's just, yeah, that's my fault for, guess, for moving across the country when everyone decided to get married. Yeah. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:28:47.432)
true. I guess, yeah, you have your friends in the East Coast. That's true. Okay. Your go-to recommendation to people when they visit New York.

Kristina (01:28:58.454)
my gosh. I did, yes.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:29:00.364)
He gave me a whole list one time, which is great. But if you had to just something from the top of your head.

Kristina (01:29:07.254)
Something off the top of my head. Um, oh my gosh, I would say

Okay, two things. You definitely need a good slice. You need to go get a good slice of pizza from somewhere.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:29:21.964)
I still need to redeem my experience from there, because I did not have one.

Kristina (01:29:26.484)
Yeah, you need to get a good slice. I have a lot of recommendations. Not one in particular. I have like a few. But also Joe's is a classic. You can't go wrong with Joe's. Which one? Where'd you go?

Rebecca Espinoza (01:29:33.218)
haha

Rebecca Espinoza (01:29:39.182)
So, okay, I went to Joe's, Christina. That's the part that I think I messed up. went to the Brooklyn location.

Kristina (01:29:48.582)
Okay, Joe's on 14th Street is my favorite.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:29:52.942)
Because it's the original or the one in the city, right?

Kristina (01:29:55.922)
Yes, yeah, there's a few in the city. I think it is the original on 14th Street. But I definitely have other recommendations that are, sorry, Jos, that are way better. But it's a solid slice. That, and then I would also say, go anywhere where you can, do not, do not go to the Empire State Building at the top to see,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:30:06.7)
Okay, well, I'm in New York, then I'll take those other ones.

Kristina (01:30:24.648)
the city because that's part of the view. You want to go anywhere else that is not a major like building or landmark. Yes, so that you could actually see the skyline. And okay, last.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:30:30.52)
Go to Brooklyn.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:30:35.32)
Yeah, where's that? There's that park. There's that park where you can see it really well. Is it Dumbo? You can see the skyline really well.

Kristina (01:30:42.39)
Dumbo, yeah. Yeah, see, you gotta go up there, but you wanna be in a space where you get to see the Freedom Tower, you get to see the Chrysler Building, you get to see Empire State Building. Rockefeller Center is really great for that. There's a beautiful view along with, this is my last thing that I will say, my favorite, like, wow, I'm in New York moment. If you take the B or the Q from Brooklyn,

Rebecca Espinoza (01:30:54.358)
Hmmmm

Rebecca Espinoza (01:30:59.026)
Okay.

Kristina (01:31:12.286)
into the city, into Manhattan, you're gonna get the perfect view of just the bridge and lower Manhattan. And it's one of the, it is still one of my favorite, like just sites of a city in general. Yeah, that I've ever had. And so I'm blessed to.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:31:24.014)
Hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:31:31.875)
Wow.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:31:37.39)
Hmm.

Kristina (01:31:38.25)
be from there and have seen that same site over and over again for many years. But that's the one thing I'll say is like, wow, that's that moment you're like, wow, I'm here. So yeah, I'll leave it with that. Yes. I'm like besides my job, come to Grand Central Market. I do. Yeah, yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:31:42.968)
Amazing.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:31:51.094)
Okay, now bringing it back to the West Coast, one of your favorite spots in LA now.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:31:59.969)
yeah, that's a solid, solid for sure.

Kristina (01:32:03.974)
It's yeah, it's a very special place and not just because I work there but because that essence of community is so rich there. There's generations of families that work there and I think that's wherever you get to actually meet. I say I got really lucky and I am fortunate that when I moved here I got integrated to a friend group that are actually from here because I know that they're definitely and the same way that there is kind of this like

Rebecca Espinoza (01:32:14.936)
Mmm, mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:32:33.366)
I don't know, reputation of like what people like when you go to LA what LA people are like or what New York people are like and my answer is you're doing it wrong. And I am blessed to have met people that are from here because it feels so familiar to like people that are from New York. Like a lot of people that I've met here.

have lot of the same values, have the same outlook on life. And yeah, I would say wherever you can meet locals that are from LA, that's my favorite place. And I've gotten to do that just besides the friend group that I got integrated into, but.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:33:14.531)
Yep.

Kristina (01:33:21.558)
working at the market allow that for me because a lot of people are from there whether it's like from security people working at the vendors whatever it is people are working you know in the maintenance team like I get to learn so much from them and I get to be around food and culture and all of that and I think it is such a special place and I do love it so much I honestly have more exploring to do in LA as well I've had

Rebecca Espinoza (01:33:25.112)
Definitely. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:33:37.568)
Yeah, it's

Kristina (01:33:51.614)
like such a high and low the last few years when I initially moved out here that now I really feel like I get to explore. So maybe ask me again, but right now it'll be my job. Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:34:03.124)
Okay, yes. I mean, that's a good one. That's a good one. And Grand Central Market, like, it's definitely on like the recommendation list of people, like when you go on blogs and stuff, you see Grand Central Market on there. think it's definitely a classic, like, like you said, the food, the culture and the vibe itself. It's, it's definitely like a standout in LA now. Yeah.

Kristina (01:34:20.136)
Yeah, yeah, it's special.

Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:34:26.978)
Christina, thank you so much for coming on and just sharing your wisdom and your personal experience, your stories with our community and just bringing a bit of comfort and clarity during a time in life where people may feel so unstable, like the tower really is crumbling beneath their feet. And yeah, I just I'm so happy that you're here to be able to provide what you have for our people.

Kristina (01:34:28.36)
Yay!

Kristina (01:34:43.606)
Yeah.

Kristina (01:34:55.03)
Thank you so much. Yeah. And thank you for having me on again. Yeah, this was awesome. And I love having this conversation just because it continues to be and it continues to happen. We go through a second set in return folks that happens towards the end of our fifties as we're turning 60. And it's the beauty of it. And the gift is that we

Rebecca Espinoza (01:35:02.542)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:35:09.314)
Yep. Yep.

Kristina (01:35:21.98)
get to experience it every day and the journey of it all. So yeah, there's no like end of the line. It's just like, it's just ongoing. And that's also very cool. Yeah, totally.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:35:25.678)
Mm-hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:35:32.59)
It is. That's life though. Very life. Okay, everyone, thank you so much for joining us. Kristina (01:36:07.478)
Of course. Yeah, thank you for asking. Yeah, I actually had taken a little bit of a backseat on like socials and stuff last year. I think my I prioritize just like stability and security, which is home and work and everything. And now I'm like really stepping back into everything again. So I'm really excited for this year. You can find me on Instagram, Christina with a K Gonzalez with underscore at the end.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:36:15.086)
Hmm.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:36:19.682)
Mm-hmm.

Kristina (01:36:36.246)
I have a website 92 scales.com. I Do readings I have a coaching container if you really want to be either just a mentee when it comes to learning astrology and how to reach arts I do that if you're wanting that like life coach you know immersed with astrology and like

Rebecca Espinoza (01:36:42.519)
Yeah.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:36:49.858)
Mmm, beautiful.

Kristina (01:36:58.07)
It's so much fun to work in that way. I do that as well and I do one-off readings and my bread and butter. What I love so much is being in community and holding space for folks in moon circles. And so I'm going to be doing that a little bit more locally at the backyard now. So I'm excited to host those and bigger events. So I love collaborations and I really want to work with the elements this year. So I have already one in mind.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:37:00.12)
Hmm?

Incredible. I'm excited to see what you start doing in LA. Yay. Okay. Well, thank you again, everyone, and we'll catch you next week.

Kristina (01:37:49.302)
Bye.

Rebecca Espinoza (01:37:54.488)
Hello, hello everyone. Welcome back to another episode of Veeba. We are here with a guest episode and we're talking about a topic that really lights us up in so many ways and it's astrology. And the reason why we love to have an astrologer on here and Christina really has become like one of our house astrologer, in-house astrologers is just because it's a great tool for

self-awareness and reflection and it's not and she says this in the episode and she says that she said it before in season two when we had her on as a guest previously, but she really likes to make clear that she's not a psychic. She's not a fortune teller. She's not going to tell you what's going to happen exactly in the events in your life. She just basically there's a map there for her to be able to look into and give give some guidance on

the points and the essence, the main essence of a certain season of your life that can then prompt certain moments of preparations or certain moments of integration and certain moments of reflection. So I think this episode is a really powerful one because it's about Saturn return and it's a moment in life that we're all gonna go through, that we're going through right now or that we've gone through or that we're going to enter into.

and she gets into what Saturn return is. And the reason why it was really cool is because I'm currently in my Saturn return. So she was able to look at my chart and share a little bit about the energy of what my Saturn return is. And I shared a bit of a reflection about like what I have been going through in the season of my life. And she also has already gone through her Saturn return. So she's able to share what it's like to be on the other side of that. And we, at the end of the day, if you're looking for really like

one, two, three step formula, like how to get through a Saturn return. I'm sorry, but you're not gonna get that here because you can't be given that. Saturn return is a big season of initiation in life. And it's not just like a six month thing. It's a few years that you're going through this, like writing this wave of a Saturn return and really deconstructing certain beliefs and identities about yourself. It's during the end of a very pivotal time, which is the end of your 20s. This time where you thought you knew who you were because that's what happens in your near 20s. Christina Gonzalez is an LA-based life coach, astrologer, and Reiki master. She believes the key findings of your natal chart can unlock your natural gifts and support you in not only identifying your challenges within this life, but how to work through them so you're in the driver's seat of your healing. And she depicts what she's able to support people with so beautifully when she speaks about the Saturn return. And...

So without further ado, please enjoy this episode and let us know what you think.
